Raymond L. Powell, 90, of Kinzers, PA died on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Harrison Senior Living in Christiana, PA. He was the husband of the late Catherine M. Valotta Powell who died in 1999. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen Simmers Powell.

Ray was an area resident all his life and a 1947 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 1943 to 1946. He was employed most of his life as a newspaper staff photographer. He was a former member of the Olivet United Methodist Church in Coatesville, PA.

He is survived by one son Barry R. Powell of Kinzers, PA.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Fairview Cemetery, 786 Oak St., Coatesville, PA. 19320
