Raymond C. Campbell

Raymond C. Campbell, 72, of Westwood, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the husband of the late Sharon Franklin Campbell who died in 2018. They shared 25 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Donald Campbell and Marion Esworthy Campbell.

Ray was an are resident all his life and a 1972 graduate of the Coatesville Area Senior High School. He was employed, most of his life, as a machinist for several different firms including the Lukens Steel Company.

Ray served the community around him as a volunteer fireman with the Pomeroy Fire Company where he served as Fire Chief for 18 years. Later he worked with the committee that helped to form Keystone Valley Fire Department. He will also be fondly remembered for looking after all the neighborhood feral cats in Westwood.

He is survived by one daughter Mandi E. Campbell of Westwood, four sisters; Donna Guajardo of Texas, Rose Corbett of Florida, Fay Thompson of Pomeroy Heights and JoAnn Hume of Pomeroy, PA, a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Kenzie and pet cat Callahan.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation and viewing at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Raymond's memory to Kitty Cottage Adoption Center at www.kittycottage.org
