Phyllis A. Christman, 88, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Aventura at Pembrooke Nursing Home in West Chester, PA. She was the wife of the late Cameron Christman who passed away in 1984 and a longtime companion of Donald Sweigart who passed away in February 2019. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Leamot and Grace Virginia Clifton.

Phyllis enjoyed going on long car rides to the mountains, listening to Elvis Presley songs, she loved going to the casino and playing the slot machines and watching old westerns on TV.

She is survived by five children; Linda Ford, Diana Christman-Bohn, Larry Christman and wife Vanessa, Jennifer Mannen and Randy Christman (Karen), 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hopewell Cemetery, 845 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, 19335. 

We would like to give special thanks to Aventura at Pembrooke Nursing home and Serenity Hospice for taking great care of our mother and making her final days comfortable. My mother was an animal lover, in lieu of flowers a donation in her memory to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
