An area resident most of her life, Peggy was employed by Acme Markets in Thorndale as a checker retiring in 1996 with 26 years of service.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by four children; Ann Marie, wife of Jeff Slaymaker, Eugene "Butch" Simms, Jr. and wife Judy, Judy Lynne, wife of Paul Karmilowicz and Ronald Earl Simms, six grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Slaymaker, Jr., Christopher M. Slaymaker, Cheryl A. Simms Lane, Paul S. Karmilowicz, Jr., Matthew D. Karmilowicz, Zachary J. Karmilowicz, two great grandchildren, Taylor E. Lane and Grayson M. Lane and four siblings; Barb Mellinger, Betty Lawrence, Edgar "Buck" Lonas and Norman Lonas. She was preceded in death by three siblings; Catherine Marsh, Olin Lonas and Robert Lonas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237, Strasburg Rd., East Fallowfield followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10 to 11:00 am.
