Pearl Greenleaf Sorensen, 100 years and seven months old, of Narvon, PA, passed away peacefully at the Hickory House Nursing Home of Honey Brook on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was the wife of the late David B. Sorensen. They shared 35 years of marriage. Born in West Caln Township, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. Greenleaf and Alma Wagner Greenleaf.
Pearl was an area resident all her life and a graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. She was employed, for 45 years, by United Way of Chester County as bookkeeper. Even after retirement, she continued to volunteer with United Way.
She was a charter member of Wagontown Union Chapel.
She is survived by four children; Donna Smith and husband Luther "George" Smith of Narvon, PA, James Kennedy and wife Joyce of Gordonville, John Kennedy of Stevens, PA and Karen Gicola and husband Phil of Bethlehem, PA, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters; Mabel Shaubach, Thelma Henry and Doris Burke.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 West Kings Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320 with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by burial at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery in Honey Brook, PA.
