Paul E. Pfitzenmeyer, a remarkable figure whose life was colored by dedication, community service, and familial love, passed away gently on February 22, 2026, just five days after his 87th birthday. Born on February 17, 1939, Paul was a beacon of commitment in his roles as a manager at ACME, a police officer, and for an impressive 26 years as a West Caln Township Supervisor where he contributed greatly to his community through varied responsibilities, including serving on the zoning hearing board and acting as the coordinator of emergency services.
Paul's legacy as a founding supervisor of Lyton Park and the initiator of the West Wood Ambulance stationed at Wagontown Fire Company stands testament to his selfless dedication to improving his hometown. His involvement did not stop there; he was a staunch supporter of the local hunting community, proudly serving as President of the Wagontown Hunting Club. Paul was also a distinguished member of the “383 Goddard Lodge” for 62 years, achieving the esteemed rank of 32nd degree mason within the Scottish Rite, and he was honored to be the Rajah of the Reading Consistory.
A devoted family man, Paul shared 62 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Betty Pfitzenmeyer. He fostered delightful connections with his extended family, including his cousin, Dave Pfitzenmeyer, and numerous other first and second cousins. The harmony of family gatherings often echoed through their mountain house and cabin, where Paul was happiest, guiding his nephews and nieces to preseason Eagles practices and creating cherished memories along the way.
An ardent outdoorsman and hunter, Paul was known for his adventurous spirit, taking numerous exhilarating vacations and always returning with new friends. This warmth extended beyond his family; Paul embodied the essence of community, touching the lives of those around him, embodying kindness, and connecting people wherever he went.
Paul also served honorably in the U.S. Army, spending two years in Germany alongside his wife, which added rich layers to his understanding of the world. In the tranquility of his cherished Wagontown Union Chapel, he found solace and faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Pfitzenmeyer and Harriet Pfitzenmeyer, whose love and guidance undoubtedly nourished him throughout his extraordinary journey.
A visitation with family will be held on March 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Masonic service as well as Military funeral honors celebrating Paul's exceptional life from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wagontown Fire Company located at 412 W Kings Hwy, Wagontown, PA.
As we bid farewell, we hold close the memories of Paul E. Pfitzenmeyer, whose unwavering spirit and genuine warmth will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
