Paul George Butcher, of Coatesville, PA, , passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Lancaster General Hospital.   He was the husband of the late Mary Beasley Butcher.  Born in Unionville, PA, he was the son of the late Edward L. Butcher and Nora Mae McKimm Butcher.

Paul worked and retired as a welder at the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville and also at Louis Brothers and also as an aid at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.  He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He served during World War II, and he received a plaque of acknowledgement from State Representative, Pastor Dan K. Williams. He also was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and he loved to ride his scooter through Coatesville.

He is survived by his children, Beverly Beasley of Lancaster, Ronald (Rosa) Beasley of York, PA, Robert Beasley of Lancaster and Paul Beasley of Coatesville, and Paul Lavender of Coatesville, grandchildren; Russell Beasley, Charmise Wilson and Paula Wilson, great-grandchildren who he adored very much and loved them like they were his own, Denashia and  Kenashia Robinson, Secret Wilson, and Pharoh "Booga" DeVeaux, who was very much like a son to him, and a host of  nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his five siblings, Buddy, Charles, and Donald Butcher, and Gloria Watson and Genevia Cheers, and by daughter-in-law, Roxann Wilson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from The Wilde Funeral Home in Parkesburg, PA with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
