Patricia J. Markward, 80, of West Caln Township, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in West Chester, PA. She was the wife of Thomas E. Markward for over 57 years. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Jennie (Symanski) Kabli.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Gregory T. (Kathy) Markward of Lancaster, PA, and Debra L. Markward of West Caln, and two granddaughters, Jessica and Alyssa Markward of Lancaster. She loved caring for and spending time with family and talking with her friends.

Pat was a retired secretary for the Coatesville area School District . She was an active member of Faith Community Church in Atglen, PA. She loved her church family.

She enjoyed going to the mountains and taking a few other vacations, especially a trip out west in 2013 that was on her bucket list. She also enjoyed sitting on the patio reading and watching the many birds that came to her feeders. She also loved planting flowers and watching them grow.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 12 noon from Faith Community Church, 332 Chester St., Atglen, PA, 19310, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the church at the above address.
