Norma L. Davis

Norma L. Davis, 92, of East Fallowfield, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at her home. She was the wife of the late Edward Davis who died in 1989. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John T. Gay and Pearl Romig Gay.

Norma was an area resident all her life and a 1951 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. Later in life, she continued her education at the Chester County Nursing School.

She was employed at the Chester County Hospital as an LPN and she was also employed at Simpson Meadows Retirement Community in Downingtown, PA.

Norma was a true believer in Jesus and long time member of the Hephzibah Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and supported all the ministries of her church for many years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, crocheting, knitting, sewing, playing games and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by six children; Jackie Cole (Tom), Becky Davis (Scottie), Brenda Beck (Bob), Eddie Davis, Jr., Norma Jean Sundholm (Rob), John Davis (Kelly), and stepdaughter Nancy Moore, 12 grandchildren; Laura Cole, Kerry Leitner, Andrew Cole, Jillian Wilkins, Jackie Daller, Matt Beck, Aubree Beck, Amanda Esterly, Chris Beck, Michael Sundholm, Nathaniel Sundholm, and Timothy Sundholm, and three step grandchildren; Tracy Moore, Jed Daller, and Andy Daller, 11 great grandchildren and two brothers; James and Charles Gay. She was preceded in death by daughter Marie Daller and son-in-law, John Daller. Also preceded in death by her siblings:  Barbara Chenger, Margaret Pierce, Gloria Lyons, Dorothy Kitterman, Betty Hyman, John Gay Jr., Judith Hess, William Gay, and George “Tony” Gay. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, (in the old sanctuary) 2237 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
