Michael H. Yankavish of Coatesville, PA passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old.

Born to the late Michael and Ann (Haisey) Yankavish, Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who especially enjoyed coaching his son's youth baseball teams. In his free time, he loved traveling, gardening, and spending time with his friends over coffee at the local Wawa.

A 1965 graduate of Horace Scott Senior High School, Mike dedicated more than 30 years of service to Lukens Steel Company before retiring in the early 2000s.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Terry (Sieracki) Yankavish; his daughter, Karen (Lonnie) Irvin of Sanatoga PA; his son, Todd (Susan) Yankavish of Morgantown, PA and daughter Beth Yankavish of Northampton, PA; his grandchildren, Lacey and Sean; and his beloved grand-dogs, Milo, Mazie, and Suds.

He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Porter, and his brothers, Bob and Ron Yankavish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Yankavish, who passed away in infancy.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and ICU staff at Chester County Hospital for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they provided during Mike's brief stay.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with viewing/visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
