Michael James Sugg

Michael James Sugg, 39, of Thorndale, PA, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, May 9, 2025. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is the son of David J. and Amanda "Janie" J. (Thomas) Sugg of Thorndale. Michael was welcomed with joy into the Sugg family at the tender age of 5 days old. Mike was extremely talented athletically and played sports all through his school days. Seeing Mike play basketball and soccer was like watching poetry in motion. Mike loved big and worked hard. He adored his daughter and loved his family. He enjoyed sports, especially his beloved Eagles, and had a personality as big as the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed. Michael was a graduate of Octorara High School in Atglen, PA, and he worked in manufacturing for NEFCO Strut Service in Downingtown, PA.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Naomi June Sugg, grandparents, James and Janet Sugg, a sister, Amanda "Mandie" Mensah and her husband, Andrew, and nieces, Shiloh and Noa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Naomi Thomas, June Thomas, and his niece Kairo Mensah.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 1 E. Highland Rd. Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private at the family's convenience. There will be a light lunch at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to The Parkesburg Point Youth Center, 700 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
