IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael W.
Cervone
June 11, 1943 – January 4, 2026
Michael William Cervone, 82, of Honey Brook, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 4, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Constance (Pinque) Cervone. He was a proud graduate of Dobbins Vocational High School and spent his career with the City of Philadelphia, from which he retired.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Betty Ann (Hampton); his daughter Michele Cervone Scott (Eric); and his cherished grandchild, Noah. He is also survived by his brother Frank (Maxine), along with nieces and nephews.
Michael had a special way of staying connected, often through a phone call, a handwritten note, or the simple joy of sharing a recipe or article that made him think of someone else. A creative spirit at heart, he loved cooking and baking and took great pride in creating and publishing recipes — especially his well-known diet cheesecake. He enjoyed listening to music and telling tales of growing up in the old neighborhood.
A lifelong Catholic, he was a former parishioner of St. Mary of the Eternal, Incarnation of Our Lord, St. Dominic’s, and most recently St. Peter’s. When he was no longer able to attend Mass in person, watching it on YouTube became a cherished highlight of his week and an important source of comfort.
He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, his generosity of spirit, and the quiet ways he showed his love. The family is deeply grateful for the care and kindness shown to him and to those who loved him, particularly by Heatherwood Retirement Community, Tel Hai Retirement Community, and Holisticare Hospice.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tel Hai Retirement Community Good Samaritan Fund.
