Michael S. Boros, affectionately known to all as "Mike" passed away on May 16, 2025, in Greenwood, Delaware, at the age of 77. Born on October 11, 1947, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Michael grew up in a vibrant community where he nurtured a personality that was as boisterous as it was unforgettable.

He graduated in 1966 from S. Horace Scott Senior High School where he excelled in football and track and field. He received a football scholarship io attend Kansas State University where he studied business and economics.  Mike left college to join the army where he trained in military justice and then trained as a medic corpsman and was deployed to Vietnam where he earned the rank of Corporal. He was a sharpshooter rifleman and received several service medals.

Those who knew him well often described Mike having a rough and tough exterior, but a kind heart that was always there for those in need. He was a true legend in high school, and later in college revered not only for his athletic prowess but for his unwavering spirit, leadership and ability to connect with others. His wife described him as a consultant, everyone would ask for advice and information and he would have an answer for everything, if he didn't he was relentless for an answer or solution.

Michael's love for life was evident in his many hobbies. He had a lifelong passion for playing cards, a pastime he embraced from a young age. Equally important to him were the hours spent hunting and fishing alongside his son, creating cherished memories hunting in the woods of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and fishing the PA streams for trout and salmon in New York state. He also spent the summers with his wife and son in Rehoboth Bay Delaware where they spent time on their boat cruising and fishing.  Mike and his dog, Camo, were inseparable and Camo was always by his side, even when Mike tragically died.

In mourning his passing, Michael leaves behind his cherished family: his devoted wife of 41 years, Cindy (Ross) Boros, and their two loving children, Michael Boros and Lisa Konchel, a son-in-law Matthew Konchel, two grandchildren Mathew Brandon Konchel and Kaitlyn Michelle  Konchel.  He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Stephen Boros and Mary (Kabli) Boros.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Wilde Funeral Home located at 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA, on June 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Michael will be laid to rest at St. Malachi Cemetery in Cochranville, PA, following the service where he will receive military honors.

Michael S. Boros will be remembered not only for his dynamic personality and zest for life but also for his remarkable capacity to touch the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will endure in the many lives he has impacted and his life experiences he shared with those he knew well and loved.
