Mary Ann March

Mary Ann March, 78, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Christiana, PA.  She was the wife of the late John H. March Jr. who passed away in 2004.  Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Alice E. (Hurst) Himes.

An area resident all her life, Mary retired from Freedom Village where she worked as an aid.  She enjoyed classic country music, playing bingo, and traveling to the Lancaster area for shopping and great food.  She loved having breakfast at the favorite restaurant The Brass Eagle.  Mom loved feeding the birds and watching the squirrels, try to get to their food. 

She is survived by her children, Tina Fonseca, Brenda Donough, Vicky Garnett, and John March III, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by Son David Schweitzer.  Sisters Alice Harnish, Shirley Arnold, and Eva Townsend.  Brothers Billy Himes, Gary Himes, George Himes, and Ronald Himes. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
