Mary Hash, 94, a beloved member of her family and the community passed away peacefully at her home in Oxford, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and dedication. She was the widow of Walter F. Hash who died in 2022. They shared 18 years of marriage. Born in Sparta, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Hopper and Pearl Gambill Hopper.
Mary graduated from Avon Grove High School in 1950. She was employed in the mushroom industry as a spawn maker. Her contributions to the workforce were matched only by her unwavering commitment to her family, as she cherished every moment spent with them.
Mary is survived by her sons, John Briggs and his wife Virginia, and Raymond Briggs. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jennie Briggs and her husband Larry Hanning, John Briggs, Jeffery Briggs and wife Tisha Briggs, Brooke Topor and her husband Walter. Mary's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Isabella, Savannah, Jackson, Maddox, Sophie, and Avery. She is also survived by her sister, Laura Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her brother Wayne and sister Blanche.
