Mark Young

Mark Young, born on March 31, 1961, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 7, 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, family, and dedication. A proud graduate of McCasky High School in 1979, Mark carried the values of his education throughout his life, eventually starting work at LSC Communications where he contributed significantly to the shipping department in Lancaster.

Mark’s life was enriched by the joyful moments he shared with his family, particularly his cherished wife, Karen Young. Together, they built a strong partnership that served as a foundation for their family. He is survived by his beloved brothers, Gary Young and Craig Young, both of whom have loving wives named Karen, and his sister, Betty Rylee, three nieces and four nephews.

An individual who truly embraced the simple pleasures in life, Mark found immense joy in walks at Paradise Park, particularly enjoying these excursions with his loyal canine companions, Bo Didley and Bear. These moments reflected not only his love for nature but also his desire to foster connections with those he cared for deeply.

In remembering Mark, it is also important to acknowledge the loss of his sister Betty’s husband, Steve Rylee, whose memory will be cherished alongside him. Mark's passing leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him, yet his spirit and the loving memories created will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

Mark Young's life was one marked by kindness, dedication, and the profound love he had for his family and friends. He will be remembered with the utmost respect and love, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.

A special thank to Davita Care in Leola as well as Compassus Hospice for their dedicated care.
