Madge Annette Wright, 95, formerly of Gum Tree, Highland Township, and East Fallowfield Township, PA, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Zerbe Sisters Nursing in Narvon, PA.  She was the wife of the late Jack Wright.  Born in Berwick, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Margaret Junk Arey.

Madge was a 1945 graduate of Berwick High School and worked as a medical secretary at the former Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville.  She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church in Gum Tree for over 50 years, teaching Sunday School and Bible School and helped with worship services and church suppers.  She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Wright of Honey Brook, PA, two grandsons, Matthew Wright of Milton, DE and Mark Wright of East Fallowfield, PA, and two great grandsons, Nolan Wright and Brennan Wright, both of Milton, DE .

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Methodist Church, 123 E. Friendship Church Road, Coatesville, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow in the adjacent church cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to Friendship Methodist Church.
