Louise A. Fairfield, 86, of West Brandywine Township, PA, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in West Chester, PA. Born in Glenside, Montgomery County, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Graziano) Moffo.
A compassionate nurse and a woman of deep faith, Louise devoted her life to caring for others. For more than 67 years she shared a devoted marriage with her husband, David L. Fairfield, and together they answered a broader call to ministry—faithfully serving with Transport for Christ to bring comfort and the gospel to truck drivers across the nation, and lovingly operating the snack bar at Mt. Lebanon Camp Meeting. An active member of Wagontown Union Chapel in Coatesville, Louise found joy in the simple, nurturing pleasures of homemade crafts and in the warmth of her church family.
Her love of family was constant and generous. She is survived by her husband, David; children David L. (April) Fairfield Jr. of Croydon, PA, Deborah L. (William) Raap of Coatesville, Joseph M. Fairfield of Narvon, PA, and John P. (Adrienne) Fairfield of Albemarle, NC; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Salvatore (Carole) Moffo of Montgomeryville, PA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Lomas.
Visitation with the family will be held at 10am, followed by a memorial service at 11am on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 from the Wagontown Union Chapel located at 469 W Kings Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wagontown Union Chapel or Transport for Christ in Louise’s memory.
“His lord said unto him, well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”. Matthew 25:21
