IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Marian

November 6, 1941 – March 16, 2026
Visitation with Family
Christiana United Methodist Church

Memorial Service
On March 16, 2026, our beloved mother, Linda Marian Mallalieu, was called home to be with the Lord after a year long illness. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. She was the widow of Fred M. Mallalieu, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in West Chester on November 6, 1941, to Herbert and Emma Benson, Linda lived most of her life in the Cochranville area.
Linda was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. Her belief sustained her through her illness and she had complete trust in God’s plan.
Linda was deeply committed to her role as a homemaker, placing family at the center of her life’s work. Throughout the years, Linda was an active member of the Cochranville and Christiana United Methodist Churches, where she enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher for the women's class. A proud graduate of Scott High School in 1959, Linda enjoyed participating in the monthly Class of '59 reunion lunches. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, walking, shopping and eating out. An avid reader, she loved sharing books with her friends and family.
Linda is survived by her children, Kimberly L. Devine and husband David, Kelly Devonshire and husband Howard, as well as her granddaughters Samantha Eastlack, Hannah Devine, Alyssa Devonshire, Allison Devonshire, Amanda Devonshire, and her six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Neidig. She is also remembered with love by a host of dear friends from her church community and a devoted circle of close friends who will miss her very much. While we grieve her passing, we find solace in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.
Service will be held on April 2, 2026 at Christiana United Methodist Church in Christiana PA. Visitation will start at 10:00 am with a service to be held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Christiana United Methodist Church if inclined.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
