Lawrence Albert Brown Sr. (“Buzz”)
Lawrence Albert Brown Sr., affectionately known as “Buzz,” passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on July 4 1952, Buzz lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. A longtime resident of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, he dedicated many years of service as a security guard at the Valley Forge Music Fair before continuing his career at the VA Hospital, where he worked until his retirement.
Buzz had a lifelong passion for baseball and sports and could always be found enjoying a game with family and friends. Above all else, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that they will carry with them forever.
Known for his kind heart and selfless nature, Buzz never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity, warmth, and willingness to put others before himself touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Buzz shared a loving marriage of 45 years with his beloved wife, Dorothy Brown, whose passing in 2023 left a void in his heart. They are now reunited in eternal peace.
In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his daughter Karen G. Beeks & Ten Siblings David Brown, Raymond Gray, Eugene Brown, Wilbur Brown, Leon Brown, Frank Brown, Marie Butcher, Marian Dorsey, Kathleen Brown and Arthur Brown
Buzz is survived by his son, Lawrence Brown Jr. (Trashaya Hogue), Step children Steve Shelton, Mark Shelton, Eric Shelton and precious grandchildren ( Leah , Parrian, Lawrence, Brandon, Jordyn, Jaylen, Lexi) 29 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Though he will be deeply missed, Buzz’s legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those fortunate enough to have shared in his life. May he rest in eternal peace.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the Lutheran Church of The Good Shepard located at 107 S 17th Ave, Coatesville, PA 19320, with a viewing starting from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wilde Funeral Home located at 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
