Larry D. Trout

Larry D. Trout, 72, of Lancaster, formerly of Kinzers, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Grant S. Trout and M. Jane Williams Trout.

Larry loved his Mommy and Daddy. He may not have understood death but he missed them both dearly when they passed.

He also loved his brother and sister-in-law and enjoyed their frequent visits with him. He often pointed to the calendar and wanted his caregivers to show him how many days until their next visit.

Larry owned hundreds of 33rpm record albums over the years. He enjoyed playing them repeatedly on his record player. He particularly enjoyed having someone read the names of the artists to him. Some of his favorites were Lawrence Welk, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, big bands such as Benny Goodman and John Philip Sousa the march king.

He loved getting back rubs and back scratches.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Howard W. and Jill Trout of Wyomissing, PA and one cousin JoAnn Myers, Apex, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pequea Valley Fire Dept., Kinzer Station, 3521 Lincoln Highway East, Kinzers, PA 17535. Viewing and visitation at the fire hall from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Paradise Presbyterian Cemetery in Paradise, PA. at 1:45 PM.

His family would like to thank Excentia Human Services (formerly PAI Corporation) and all of his many caregivers over the past 28 years. Their kindness and attention to Larry's care and needs has been greatly appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to Excentia Human Services, 1810 Rohrerstown Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601.
