Kermeda (Kay) May Welch

Kermeda (Kay) May Welch, 87, of New Holland, entered into eternal life with her Savior Jesus Christ at home on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Simon Welch who passed in 2000. Born in Gap, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Annie (Smoker) Stoltzfus.

Kermeda was employed as a lineman at Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown.. She spent her retirement in Hudson, FL collecting shells and admiring sunsets. She returned to Lancaster to be closer to her family.

Kermeda was a godly woman who loved the lord and was devoted to her family. She loved to crochet, and she enjoyed going to bingo. She enjoyed laughing and was always looking to make those around her laugh by telling a good joke. Kermeda loved card games and puzzles.

Kermeda is survived by five children: Jerl Martin of Ephrata, Jean Whiteman of New Holland, Joseph (Shaff) Clevenstine of Birdsboro, Joanne Hash of New Holland and Shanne Welch of Lancaster. PA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. The service will be preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 AM.
