Obituary

Katherine D. "Kathey" Newnam, 63, of Parkesburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of Joseph Newnam, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.


Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond S. Devlin and Charlotte B. (Whiteman) Devlin.

She was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon and volunteered at Righteous Clothing, the Mobile Food Cupboard and the Community Outreach.

She is survived by her two children, Malinda N. Altizer, wife of Kenneth, of Cochranville, Joseph R. Newnam, husband of Heidi Kling-Newnam of Kinzers; five grandchildren; and her brother Raymond "Butch" Devlin, husband of Marjorie, of Parkesburg.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 11 AM at the Parkesburg Baptist Church, 103 West Street. Parkesburg, Pa 19365, with viewing from 10 until 11 AM.  Interment will be held at the Glen Run Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Parkesburg Baptist Church at the above address or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
