Judith Herman Khan

Judith Herman Khan passed away on July 28, 2026, after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria (Miller) and Rea Herman. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Safdar Hussain Khan; stepchildren, Dr. Khuram Khan, Faisal Khan, and Javaria Iram; five grandchildren; her sister, Linda Marie (Herman) Kussmaul and her husband Bill; nephews, Dr. Jonathan and Matthew Kussmaul; nieces, Mary Kussmaul and Dr. Susannah (Kussmaul) Chamie; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

Judi was born on February 1, 1947, in Coatesville, PA. A proud graduate of Scott Senior High School in 1965, she went on to earn her degree from Eastern Mennonite College in 1969. She made her home in Silver Spring, MD, where she dedicated 35 years to teaching English as a second language in the Washington DC school district. Even during her illness, she maintained connections with many friends from Westwood Union Church, Scott High School, and her numerous online communities.

Judi will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
