Obituary

Joseph E. Duda, 89, of Sadsburyville, PA went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 11, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Lynne McCullough Duda with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Lewis and Jennie Monsue Duda.

Joe was an area resident all his life and a 1955 graduate of the Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served in the US Army. For 55 years, Joe was self-employed in the construction business.

He was a faithful member of Kingsway Independent Church in Sadsburyville where he served as church president.

In his younger years, Joe was an avid hunter. He will be fondly remembered for his wonderful homegrown tomatoes which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by 10 nephews and nieces; John Polakovic and wife Regina, Dina Kinney and husband Michael, Valerie Tate, Colleen Bishop and husband Larry, Charles Otap and wife D.D., James Groce, Vanessa Christman and husband Larry, Kevin Gazzerro and wife Dawn, Dawn McDonough, Ronald Alexander and wife, Nancy, and Linda Croce and husband Steve.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Kingsway Independent Church, 55 Morris Lane, Sadsburyville, PA with viewing/visitation at the church from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by burial at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Kingsway Independent Church 55 Morris Lane, Coatesville, PA 19320.
