John H. Wingert

John H. "Jack" Wingert, 87, of Morgantown, PA, formerly of Elverson, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Complete Care Nursing Home in Reading, PA. He was the husband of the late Laura Orsini Wingert who died recently in November of 2025. They share 31 years of marriage together. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Henry and Salome Ressler Wingert.

Jack was an area resident most of his life and a 1956 graduate of the former Parkesburg High School in 1956. He proudly served in the US Army during the Cold War Period.

He was employed, for 43 years, by the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville as a crane operator.

He is survived by three sons; Kenneth John Wingert, Darin H. Wingert and John H. Wingert, Jr. and wife April all of Denver, PA, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one sister Geraldine Nitzenberger of Parkesburg. He was preceded in death by two sons; Brian Scott Wingert and Gary Earl Wingert.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January, 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
