John J McGrath III (Jack) 83 of Atglen went to be with the lord Thursday August 6th. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was the husband of Carol Moyer McGrath for 22yrs where he gained three loving daughters, 6 grandkids and 3 great grandchildren. Jack graduated at Holy Cross High School in Delran, NJ and immediately joined the US Navy where he proudly served on the USS Enterprise CVN-65. He was a member of the Christiana Masonic Lodge #417 and attended Word Up ministry in Gap.

He loved animals especially dogs. You could find him walking his dog Milly most every morning around Atglen. He loved crossword puzzles, word games online and never missed Jeopardy knowing most of the answers. Loved talking about old cars and trolleys and researching information. He and Carol enjoyed going to their camper in Lewes, Del. For many years and also traveling in their Roadtrek van.

Jack was preceded in death by his father John J McGrath Jr and mother Kathryn McGrath and his brother Jerry. He is survived by his wife Carol Moyer McGrath, Sherrie McWilliams, Michele Myers and Denise Griest, 6 grandchildren Justina and Richard McWilliams, Alexander and Willem Myers, Lauren Sotolotto and Nicole Griest and Three great grandchildren.

The family extends their gratitude to Hospice & Community Care for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 19th from 10-11 and Celebration of Life at 11. The burial will be private and at the family’s discretion
