John Edward Franciscus

John Edward Franciscus, 75, of Gap, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, August 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Sandra L. Fredd Franciscus with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Walter Franciscus and Dorothy Troup Franciscus.

John was an area resident all his life. He attended the Octorara Area School District. He was employed by the Pequea Valley School District as a custodian retiring 13 years ago.

He enjoyed trips to Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one son Carl Franciscus and fiance Mandie Gehron of Coatesville and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two siblings; Norman Franciscus and Betty Haubert.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
