Janet A. Brown

Janet A. Brown, 84, of Cochranville, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Brown who died in 2023. They shared 63 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Austin and Vacie Blevins Austin.

Janet was an area resident all her life and a 1959 graduate of the Octorara High School. She was employed for 35 years by Butts Ticket Systems of Cochranville as an administrative assistant. She took pride in hosting weekly family dinners and holiday celebrations. On weekends, she and her husband would roam around Chester County stopping at every yard sale they could find.

She is survived by three children, Terri Fisher and husband James of Oxford, PA, Timothy L. Brown and wife Cherry of Parkesburg, PA and Theodore R. Brown and wife Barbara of Ocean City, Maryland; six grandchildren, James P. Fisher III and wife Elisa Keller of Avondale, PA, Timothy L. Brown Jr. and wife Becky of Coatesville, PA, Caiti Giordano and husband Daniel of Rosedale, MD, Nathan A. Brown of Bel Air, MD, Francis Leighton Brown of Parkesburg, PA and Kayla Reitnour and husband Tyler of Parkesburg, PA; four great grandchildren, Haylee Brown, Meia Brown, Katherine Zellefrow-Wood, and Liam Reitnour; and one brother Richard Austin of Honey Brook, PA. She was preceded in death by one sister Carol McKinley, and one grandchild Jesse Wood.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
