It is with deep, and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Hilda J. Baldwin, 95, of Coatesville, PA, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 15, 2026 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred C. Baldwin, who passed away in 2016, with whom she shared her life of 61 years. Hilda was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, January 24, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mamie Johnson of Honeybrook, PA. Hilda is preceded in death by her brother Harold O. Johnson (2008) of Coatesville, PA.

Hilda is survived by her sister Hattie Kaznowsky of Elizabethtown, PA, her daughter Sharon B. Willis (Brian Willis) of Coatesville, PA, her son Gary J. Baldwin of Coatesville, PA, and her daughter Tracy L. Baldwin of Salem, SC; two loving grandchildren Daniel Baldwin and Brandi Baldwin Barnett (Steve Barnett); three great grandchildren, Savannah, Connor, and Mika Baldwin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Hilda was a parishioner of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Compass, PA. She was the owner/operator of Hidden Acres Campground in Coatesville, PA, with her late husband Alfred C. Baldwin, where she spent most of her time happily working with her family by her side, running the campground store and making sure everyone was fed with her delicious sweet tea, meals, and goodies. Hilda enjoyed riding on her golf cart, soaking up the sun on the deck or in her favorite recliner, while watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks at the feeders. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family under the care of Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, made private cremation arrangements. No service will be held. The family will have a private celebration of life to be announced later with family and close friends.

Hilda was wise and resilient. She taught us a lot about how to live, how to love, and how to give. You will always remain in our hearts and may our memories of you get us through this difficult time. We love you, Mom, Mommom, Hilda.
