Harry Stephen Jackson

Harry Stephen Jackson, known affectionately to many as Steve, departed this life on March 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy etched in dedication, joy, and an unmistakable zest for life. Born on December 3, 1960, in Kensington, Maryland, Steve's journey was one marked by hard work, sharp intellect, and a magnetic charm that made him beloved by all who knew him.

From an early age, Steve exhibited a passion for learning and a determination to excel. He earned a bachelor's degree from Frederick Community College, a testament to his commitment to education and personal growth. His career was a reflection of this indefatigable spirit. For 18 years, he devoted himself to the meticulous craft of aircraft maintenance at PATS Inc. Yet, his ambition and skill did not rest there. Steve earned top security clearance and ascended to the role of Aircraft Inspector at Northrop Grumman, where he continued to demonstrate his expertise until the conclusion of his distinguished working years.

Steve's personality was as dynamic as the skies he helped to keep safe. Full of life and inherently fun, he captivated those around him with a likeable warmth and relentless enthusiasm. He was hardworking, unyielding in his responsibilities, and yet always ready to share a laugh or a story. Known among friends and family for his love of horror/sci-fi movies, the excitement of watching the Redskins play, and the soulful tunes of Johnny Cash, Steve embraced the pleasures that punctuated his life with color and vibrancy.

His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who cherished him. Whitney Jackson, his devoted daughter, and Ryan Jackson, his dedicated son, carry forward his legacy. Steve’s warmth and kindness continue through his beloved grandchildren: Lillian, Georgia, and Adam Jackson, each a living testament to his love. By his side in recent years was Karen Nagel, his special friend, who shared in the memories that characterized Steve’s full and spirited life.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Agathe Klein Jackson and Frederick Leonard Jackson, their memories intertwined with his and the foundation upon which his values were built.

He passed at his place of residence, surrounded by the peace he so deserved after a life vigorously embraced. Though the skies are now quieter without his watchful presence, the memories of Harry Stephen "Steve" Jackson soar endlessly—reminding us all to live fully, love deeply, and treasure the moments that make life extraordinary.
