In 1953, she graduated from Carmichaels/Cumberland Township High School and attended Waynesburg College her freshman year. In 1957, she was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and began her career at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She later worked at St. Hubert’s school in MA, substituted in the Carmichaels school district for a few years and was then the dietitian at Curry Memorial Home in Waynesburg, PA.

In 1959 Priscilla married Robert Plant McCaw, a newspaper reporter, who died unexpectedly at an early age of 43. She then moved back to Carmichaels, PA, in 1974 from Sudbury, MA. Of the Episcopalian faith, she took pride in cooking for her family and for church celebrations. Later in life, she would happily embrace her grandchildren, spending time with her favorite people in the world, her family. She always made time to catch up with her extended family as well, cared for many aged and infirm family members, and loved crossword puzzles.
