Obituary

Gene Allen Rosenbaum, 85, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Paoli Hospital. Born in Bristol, Virginia, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Rosenbaum and Mrytle Mary Dunn Rosenbaum.

Gene was an area resident most of his life. He was employed, for 34 years, by the Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville as a laborer.

Gene enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing horseshoes, he was avid coin collector and loved old muscle cars

He was a devoted and loving father whose daughter was the light of his life, and his greatest joy. From her first moments, she brought him pride, delight, and a happiness that knew no bounds. He loved her fiercely and without condition, guiding her, supporting her, and celebrating her with a heart full of devotion.

He opened his life to his stepchildren with warmth and care. Family, to him, was more than a name — it was laughter, shared stories, quiet moments, and standing together through all of life’s milestones.

As a grandfather, his heart grew even richer. His grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he cherished every laugh, every hug, and every story shared with them. The love, and warmth he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a legacy that will never be forgotten.

He is survived by one daughter; Christine Louise Walton Daniels and husband Paul of Coatesville, two grandchildren; Samantha Jean Daniels and Andrew Stephen Daniels, three stepchildren; Michelle Walton, Gregory Walton and David Cassis, three step grandchildren; Michael Milius, Kelly Walton and Kristy Walton and one brother Claude Andrew Rosenbaum of Bristol, Virginia. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Larry and Richard Rosenbaum.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
