Gary Don Rhoades

Gary Don Rhoades, 83, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by family.

Born in Modena, he was the son of the late Clarence and Amy Mattson Rhoades.

Gary enjoyed spending time with family and reading. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends at the Coatesville VFW.

He is survived by a sister, Emmabell Guiseppe, daughter Tracy Breeding, son Gary Rhoades, Jr. grandchildren, Jessica Breeding (Kelly), Justin Petrella (Ashley), Jennifer Collier (Lee) Jaquelyn Dyson (Jeff), great grandchildren, Emery Rau, Blake and Noelle Petrella, Thurston and Perrin Collier, his nephew Clarence "Buddy" (Cheryl) Rhoades who was like a brother to him, and several other nephews and nieces.

Gary was preceded in death by a daughter Tara Petrella, brothers Clarence (Duckeye) Rhoades, Clyde Rhoades, Harry(Pete) Rhoades, Michael Rhoades and sisters, Sandy Lockwood, Sherry Camacho, Mildred Richards, Marguerite Cozzone, one grandson, Joshua Breeding and son-in-law Jim Breeding.

Funeral services will be held at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg PA 19365 on Friday, October, 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM followed by interment at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, East Fallowfield, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
