Gail Jean (Elvin) Thomas

Gail Jean (Elvin) Thomas, 68 of Chadds Ford, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, May 10, 2025 She was the beloved wife of Joseph L Thomas,. with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lillian “Toots” Elvin and Robert W. Elvin SR..

Gail was born and raised in the Coatesville/East Fallowfield PA area, then moved to Gap, PA before settling in Chadds Ford. She was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School – Class of 1974. Graduate of Air Line Stewardess School, Pittsburgh, PA

Gail enjoyed raising German Shepherds, planting a vegetable garden and flowers, raising chickens. Gail enjoyed going to concerts her love music was impeccable. Gail loved the rides into Lancaster County shopping for vegetable and flowers and spending time and caring for her husband Joe.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, Brother Robert Elvin, CA, Priscilla Waid, FL preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Elvin Bruno Pazzullio, Robin Elvin Gay.

Gail will be missed dearly by her Sheppard Gertie and her cat Fred, along with her husband Joe and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Service will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 2:00-3:00 PM.
