Elsie Mae Beam, 80, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Robert C. Beam, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in East Brandywine Twp., Elsie was the daughter of the late Leo Swisher Sr. and Hazel Nuse Swisher. An area resident her entire life, she was a 1947 graduate of the Coatesville High School. Elsie was a member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church.

Elsie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children: Clarence "Skip" Bernard, husband of Ivy, Deborah Baldwin, wife of Clement, and Bruce R. Beam, husband of Julie; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild; 6 siblings, Dorothy Miller, Margaret Curry, Leo Swisher, Jr. , Barbara Hunter, Elizabeth Risbon and Louise Martz.

The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 6:30 until 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hibernia United Methodist Church at the above address.
