Edwin Albert Law, Jr. 78 of East Fallowfield passed away on Sunday, August, 16, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Sharon Elizabeth McGibbon Law, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2012. Born in Coatesville, he was a son of the late Margaret “Dolly” McWilliams Law and the late Edwin A. Law, Sr.
Ed was a 1965 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 1965 through 1969 aboard the USS Fulton in New London, Connecticut. At the conclusion of his four year tenure in the Navy, he returned to Coatesville and began a 40 year career at the former Lukens Steel Company. Ed began his career in the Electric Furnace at Lukens, serving in multiple roles and job titles throughout the course of his employment. He retired as an area manager in 2009. In addition to his career at Lukens, Ed further developed his passion for designing and woodworking when he established his own Custom Home Building Company. The first home he built in 1975 was the home he shared with his wife and daughters and in which he continued to live until his death. He continued designing and building custom homes for other families for many years after.
Ed was a member of Doe Run Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, designing and building, woodworking, and time spent at the casino. Most of all, Ed was a family man who found great joy in spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He looked forward to Sunday dinners and Holidays spent with his daughters and their families.
Ed is survived by three daughters; Tara Wheeler (Joe) of Atglen, Adrienne Law Kurpinski (John) of Atglen, and Devyn Hamilton (Marshall) of Coatesville, eight grandchildren; Emily Wheeler, Ryan Wheeler, Wade Kurpinski, Jenna Hamilton, Palynn Hamilton, Lydia Kurpinski, Addison Hamilton, and Garrett Kurpinski, two sisters; Barbara Law and Kathleen Mcmahon (Paul) of Coatesville, and one brother; Robert Law (Ann Marie) of Coatesville.
Friends and Family are invited to attend Ed’s visitation and funeral service. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, Pennsylvania 19365, and the Funeral service will begin immediately after at 11:00 am. A private Interment will follow at Doe Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
