Edward "Ned" Stanley, 86, of Christiana, PA, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Harrison Senior Living in Christiana. He was the husband of the late Mabel Banks Stanley who died in 2011. Born in Darlington, MD, he was the son of the late Elisha and Columbia Gardner Stanley.
An area resident most of his life, he was employed for 27 years by the Lukens Steel Co. retiring in 1991. Ned was a member of the Lukens Veterans Guild.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Stanley and Bob E. Stanley, husband of Debra, of Christiana; two granddaughters, Margaret, wife of Christopher Huber and Emma Stanley and one brother Matthew Stanley of NJ. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Tipton and John Stanley and one sister Geraldine Ober.

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Glen Run Cemetery, 641 Lantz Road, Atglen, PA 19310. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church, 23 Green St., Christiana, PA 17509.
