Dorothy Charriez

Dorothy Jane Groff Charriez, 87, of Coatesville, PA, passed away at her daughters home in Elkton, MD, on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Elizabeth "Betty" Hall Blevins with whom she shared 10 years of marriage and together for 58 years. Born in Paradise, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Groff and Elizabeth Livingston Groff.

Dorothy was an area resident most of her life. She was employed as a seamstress for Penguin Industries of Parkesburg, PA.

She is survived, in addition, to her wife, by one daughter; Rosa Charriez-Gonzalez and husband David of Elkton, Maryland, four grandchildren; Dewey R. Barlow and wife Holly of Lancaster, PA, Brenda Herrera and husband Manuel of Coatesville, PA and Marybeth Williams and husband Bryan of Cape Coral, Florida, and Robert Palumbo of Coatesville, PA.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Carmen H. Feliciano and two grandsons; John A. Barlow and Richard A. Barlow. And many great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 starting at 9:30AM until 10:30AM  at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30AM.

Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Seven Dolors Cemetery in Parkesburg, PA.
