Doris Arlene Sellers

Doris Arlene Sellers, 93, of Pomeroy, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in West Chester, PA, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Edwin L. Sellers who passed away in 1995.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marion McClure.

Doris was an area resident all her life.  Doris worked at the Cardinal Cotton Sewing Factory in Coatesville, she also worked at Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown for many years, retiring in 1995. 

Doris enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at Sunset Park, Jennersville listening to her favorite country music. While others favored planes or trains, Doris's heart belonged to the bus. For a number of years, Doris was not just a passenger but a traveler. Whether is was a bus trip to Tennessee, Niagara Falls, or a day trip to Atlantic City, the rhythm of the road was hers. 

She is survived by her children, Edwin (Mary) Sellers of Mississippi, Lynn Witte of Coatesville, Wayne Sellers of Gap, PA, Kevin (Bridget) Sellers of Gap, PA, and Jeff (Carol) Sellers of Coatesville, 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Sellers,  She was preceded in death by children, Norman, Larry and Jan, siblings, Betty and Peggy, and son-in-law Woody Witte.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Romansville Methodist Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to David's Drive 831, 1521 Overhill Rd, West Chester, PA.  19382.
