Doris Ellen Stackhouse, 97, formerly of Nottingham, PA, and Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, in West Chester, PA.  She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Stackhouse Sr. who passed away in 2008.  Born in Devault, Chester County, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Jones Clardy Sr. and the late Lillian Irene Kearney.

Doris attended school in both Great Valley and Parkesburg.  She worked various jobs primarily as a clerk in a drug store and as a caregiver for many friends and family members.  She was a member of Cochranville Methodist Church.

She had a special relationship with her granddaughter, Jessie L. Wood, and great-grandsons, Brandon M. and Ryan D. Wood.

She is survived by her children, Raymond H. Stackhouse Jr. of Cochranville, PA, and Nancy E. Stackhouse-Green of Avondale, PA, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Clara Mae Baxter of Elwyn, PA.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Stackhouse and a daughter, Patricia Stackhouse.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
