Donna Kay Gordon Temple, 79 years old has passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2026, with family and friends by her side. She was born on September 21, 1946, in Coatesville. Her passing brings deep sorrow to those who knew and loved her, and they remember her with gratitude for the care, compassion, and steady presence she brought into their lives.

Donna graduated from Octorara Area High School and went on to build a life centered on helping others. In her early years, she worked as a CNA at Harrison House. More recently, she served as a drug and alcohol counselor. She was very involved with AA for many years, and through that work and her regular attendance at meetings, she helped many people. Those who knew Donna understood how deeply she cared about others and how much she valued offering support, encouragement, and understanding.

She also had a creative and thoughtful side. Donna enjoyed writing poems and sayings, and at one time had a poem published in a book. In her quiet moments, she loved reading books, watching criminal shows on television and game shows, and doing puzzles. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and reflected her curious mind and reflective nature.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Donald Hart and Dean Hart.  She also leaves behind her daughter in law Carolyn Hart wife of Don Hart. Her memory will live on in her grandchildren, Devon (wife of Graham Walter) and Jordan Hart; her step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Pickell and Kaitlyn (wife of Christopher Bain) and her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Atlas, Myla, and Hayden. She was part of a family that continued to grow around her, and each generation carries forward the love and strength she shared.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Temple; her father, Nelson Gordon; her mother, Ellen Gordon; and her sister, Kathy Nields.

Donna will be remembered for her caring heart, her commitment to helping people, her love of family, and the comfort of her familiar interests and routines. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The Celebration of Life will take place at her residence at 403 Strasburg Avenue, Parkesburg PA 19365 on September 26, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
