Donna Hardy

Donna M. Hardy, 82, of Downingtown, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, December 1, 2025.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Sylvia (Fry) Hardy.

Donna was an area resident all her life and worked in Security at the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville.  She loved cats more than people. She was most comfortable sitting by the bonfire at her son's home. 

She is survived by her sons, Rick (Rose) Hoover of Reading, PA, Jeffrey Hoover of Honey Brook, PA, and Michael Ice of Lancaster, PA, four  grandchildren, Joshua Hoover, Jacqueline Hoover, Samantha Hoover, and John Hoover, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild "on the way", and a brother, Warren (Janet) Hardy of Gap, PA.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce. She also has 8 nieces and nephews, 2 of which preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family per Donna’s wishes.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the ASPCA.
