Daniel Lawrence Kauffman

Daniel Lawrence Kauffman, 85, of Atglen, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joyce L. Gordon Kauffman who died in 2017. They shared over 54 years of marriage. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Ammon Kauffman and Sarah Smoker Kauffman.

Dan was an area resident all his life and a graduate of the Lancaster Mennonite High School.

He was employed down through the years; at Keens Feed and Lumber Mill of Parkesburg, PA, Medford and Dunlevee Oil company and he retired in 2003 from the Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville as a 1st class machinist.

Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to local sales, visits to the Rough and Tumble Historical Association Events in Kinzers, PA and vacation trips to the hunting cabin in Potter County, PA. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He is survived by one daughter; Jacqueline Ann Kauffman of Atglen, PA, five siblings; Ruthanna and husband Dale of Ephrata, PA, Chester Kauffman and wife Grace of Michigan, James Kauffman and wife Doris of Lancaster, PA, Clair Kauffman of York, PA and Steven Kauffman of New Holland, PA, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Harold and Merle Kauffman.

Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 with viewing and visitation from 2:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Pa. Followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA.
