Clyde W. Thomas

Clyde W. Thomas, 89, of Sadsburyville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Habecker Thomas who died in October 2025. They shared over 70 years of marriage together. Born in Atglen, PA he was the son of the late Clyde W. Thomas and Dorothy Windward Thomas.

Clyde was a graduate of the Downingtown High School. After graduation he enlisted in the US Air Force, making it a lifelong career and retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1981 after 26 years of service. He then worked as an airplane mechanic at the Chester County Airport for many more years.

He is survived by three children: Clyde W. Thomas, Jr. of Poquoson, VA; David Thomas and wife Linda of Coatesville, PA; and Dawn Schroeder and husband John of Sylvania, OH. Clyde also adored his two grandchildren, Paul B. Schroeder and Diane L. Schroeder, both in Ohio. He was preceded in death by one daughter Linda Thomas Elliott and a daughter-in-law, Marie married to Clyde Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Northwood Cemetery, 201 W Uwchlan Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335 with Pastor Mark E. Beideman officiating.
