Clarence Genthery Palmer, 84, of New Providence, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 surrounded by his family at the home of his granddaughter in Gap. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Ann Engle Palmer with whom he shared almost 63 years of marriage. Born in Amigo, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Virgil Paul Palmer and Winnie Orcie Prince Palmer.

Clarence was an area resident most of his life. He was employed by Luria Brothers Scrap yard in Coatesville as a burner. He was one of 17 brothers and sisters. He enjoyed going on trips to Virginia with his brothers.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; David L. Palmer and wife Joan of Christiana, PA, Patricia A. Root and husband Randy of Kinzers, PA and Clarence G. Palmer, Jr. and wife Nicole of New Providence, PA, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter Tammy Palmer and one grandson Brian Dowlin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, Pa followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
