Clair R. Landis

Clair R. Landis (Dick), 88, of Narvon, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Donna I. (Peace) Landis for over 66 years. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Henry S. and Marian (Stauffer) Landis.

He was preceded in death by sibblings - Pat Landis Smith, Don Landis, Marian Landis Worst Cabott, Dale Landis and Grand Daughter Jena Moore.

Dick graduated from Cochranville High School where he loved playing Basketball. After graduation he worked the farm in addition to working at Lukens Steel. 

Dick went on to own & operate Cedar Lawn Farm that had run for generations on Lower Valley Road Parkesburg where he bottled and sold milk. After farming he became interested in construction and worked for S & A Homes then later went on to establishing his own business, as Landis Construction. He also worked at Home Depot after he retired. 

Dick enjoyed boating and fishing for many years in Montauk, NY and Rice Lake, Canada.  He also enjoyed tinkering with his mowers and many other projects.  He enjoyed go-carting where he won many trophies and also loved traveling to Nascar events with great friends.

He was a hard worker and a great family provider. He had a quiet strength and always kept up with his beloved wife Donna's ("Babe") shenanigans. They built an amazing life together.

In addition to his wife Donna he is survived by his children, Daughter Pamela Landis Moore of Narvon (Great Grand Daughter Dani Lynn Bowman), Son Rick (Pam Watterson) Landis of Coatesville (Grand Daughters Payton, Paisley, Grace), Daughter Debbie Landis Williams (Ed) (Grand Daughter Meghan Williams) and Son Bobby Landis (Grand Daughters Sherry & Tara).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
