Christopher P.
Thiers
April 27, 1959 – April 5, 2026
Christopher P. Thiers, a man known for his vast knowledge and warm personality, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2026. Born on April 27, 1959, Christopher lived a life filled with cherished family moments, and personal passions that touched all who knew him.
A graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Christopher went on to build a career working for Clark Plumbing for many years. His commitment to his work mirrored the dedication he brought to all aspects of his life.
Christopher’s passions were as varied as his knowledge. A true car enthusiast, he held a special place in his heart for his beloved 1970 Buick. Hours were joyfully spent immersing himself in the Buick Board community online, sharing stories and learning more about his prized vehicle. Beyond cars, he found great pleasure in camping, often enjoying quiet evenings by the campfire where he could relax and revel in nature’s tranquility. Known among family and friends for his love of beer, these simple joys added richness to his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Maribeth (Steube) Thiers, who stood steadfastly by his side. Christopher’s family ties extended warmly through his sister Jeanne (Thiers) Hunsberger, her husband Brian Hunsberger, and Christine, Gretchen, Mireille, and Rebekah—his cherished nieces. He also had two great nieces and one great nephew.
Christopher was preceded in death by his mother Nancy (Curtis) Thiers, his father Richard J. Thiers, his brother Richard Thiers, Jr., and his sister Adrienne Thiers. Their memories remain an enduring part of the family fabric.
A man remembered for his wonderful memory, deep reservoir of knowledge, compassion for all cars, and his connection with friends. Christopher's presence will be profoundly missed, yet fondly celebrated by all whose lives he touched.
As per Chris's wishes, there will be no formal service.
