Obituary

Christopher “Odie” Schroder passed away on September 7, 2026, at his home in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, with his son by his side. He was born on January 16, 1975, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Chris was known to most as Odie, a man with an imaginative spirit and a big heart. He worked as a painting contractor and, to those who knew and loved him best, was also a superhero in the ways that mattered most. He found joy in his dogs, Star Wars and everything sci-fi, collecting memorabilia, and movies. He also loved going fishing and camping with his kids. These interests reflected his curiosity, his sense of fun, and the unique way he saw the world.

Above all else, Chris adored his children, and being a father was his proudest accomplishment. That role was at the center of his life and the clearest expression of his love. He also adored his dogs, who were an important part of his daily life and companionship.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Shayna Schroder, and his son, Lucas Schroder, who were the greatest sources of pride, joy, and love in his life. He is also survived by his brother, Andrew Schroder, and his wife, Allison; his sister, Kiley Fisher, and her husband, Travis; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Dawson, Phil, Gavin, Gabby, Gage, Avery, and Casey. May his family and loved ones find comfort in the memories of his boundless imagination, his many interests, and the love he shared so freely with all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Samuel Schroder.

Chris will be remembered with love for the life he lived, the passions he enjoyed, and the devotion he gave to his family. His memory will remain with all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
