Charles H. Hawk Sr.

Charles H. Hawk, Sr., 88, of Bernville, PA passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at his home. He was the husband of the late Sylvia Mae Smith Hawk who died in 2018. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Joseph Hawk, Sr. and Bessie Russell Hawk and was raised by his stepmother Marie Hawk.

Charlie grew up in the Coatesville area and was a 1955 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served his Country in the National Guard from 1957 to 1960.

He was employed most of his lfe as an insurance manager in the insurance industry.

He was a faithful member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Auburn, PA.

He is survived by three children; Deborah M. Ross and husband Glenn of Shillington, PA, Charlie H. Hawk, Jr. of Bernville and Charlene E. Blessing and husband David of Palm Bay, Florida, two grandsons; Eric Fernandez and wife Nikki and Lucas Fernandez and wife Kate, three great grandchildren; Taylor Rathman, Cole Fernandez and Aurora Fernandez and two siblings; Ronnie Hawk and wife Kathy of Honey Brook, PA and Joanne Nethery of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by one brother Joseph Hawk.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1185 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA. Visitation/viewing at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
